sa.global Business Development Manager in Remote, United Kingdom

Purpose Statement

Due to continued growth, sa.global is looking for an experienced and talented New Business Development/Sales Manager in the United Kingdom. You are a natural ‘people person' and excel in building relationships with a real drive to deliver results. Ideally, you have experience of selling to professional services organisations and can demonstrate success of managing complex, high value opportunities and bids as part of a team.

Position Overview

The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Sales Director and will have no direct reports.

The location for this role is the United Kingdom. You have to live in the United Kingdom to be considered. Normal working hours apply to this role (9am-5:30pm UK time), however, there may be times where you need to work outside of our usual working hours.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Secure large opportunities with new and existing allocated accounts to meet sales orders target

  • Build and develop a robust pipeline of opportunities to support and deliver sustained future growth

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with allocated and prospect accounts

  • Uncover and effectively articulate customer pains and desired outcomes in order for the most appropriate solutions to be designed

  • Present solutions that deliver business value for customers

  • Facilitate customer proposal production

  • Follow sales governance to ensure quality and manage risk

  • Maintain accurate real-time information on opportunities to enable effective forecasting and planning

  • Promptly respond to sales qualified leads (SQLs), maintain regular contact, and work within the Business Unit to coordinate responses

  • Proactively drive regular contact and activity within allocated accounts, including the development of strategic account plans, holding regular account meetings and sharing relevant information

  • Conduct regular account planning sessions with allocated Microsoft managed accounts with Microsoft contacts, jointly target, develop offerings and secure funding

  • Deliver presentations and coordinate demos and proposals that address the customer's needs

Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Experience selling solutions into professional services organisations

  • Strong desire to learn, take on feedback and develop

  • Demonstrable track-record closing complex solution sales

  • Background and understanding of ‘target market segment'

  • Experience selling at senior management and business owner level

  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and proactively seeks opportunities to improve sales

  • Demonstrates commitment to the role, team and company, and will go the extra mile when required

  • Demonstrates creativity and reacts positively to new challenges and change

  • Demonstrates self-awareness and practical self-development in pursuit of continuous improvement

  • Possess a high work ethic in accordance with role demands, expectation and responsibility

  • Credible, articulate, confident and tenacious, with the gravitas and credibility to build relationships with executives at all business levels

  • Naturally consultative in approach evidenced by the ability to ask the right questions of the right person at the right time

Desired:

  • Experience in a commercial function within the Microsoft partner channel

  • Experience selling across the Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform

  • Able to demonstrate initiative, organisation, and a proactive approach to daily tasks

  • Analytical, structured, and methodical approach to work with creative thinking skills and exemplary problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team

Travel

UK Travel including some overnight stays to be expected.
