Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our Sales team. You will be responsible for generating new business, both from newly identified clients in your territory as well as handling and developing accounts which are identified as high growth/high potential or strategic. This role focuses on selling services in the Clinical Supply area like Just in Time packaging, labelling, storage and distribution for clients with assets in phase I to III clinical development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key clients, ensuring flawless execution of account plans and strategies.

  • Drive sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer needs and efficiently implement solutions.

  • Proactively monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the competition.

  • Account Development planning: Analyze clients’ pipelines to determine potential demands for cell & gene therapy clinical trials' supply.

  • Lead the process of winning new business, including bid defense meetings, pricing negotiation, and contract management.

  • Provide formal reports on account status, indicating strength and progress in the client relationship, while clearly identifying strategies and appropriate supporting actions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and an advanced degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in services for the scientific industry.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ambitious and self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Solid understanding of the drug development process, preferably in clinical supply chain management, including planning techniques, manufacturing, packaging, storage, and distribution technology in GMP & GDP environments.

  • Goal-focused with strong planning capabilities and the flexibility to adjust course when needed.

  • Very good English skills and proficiency in at least one additional business-relevant language.

  • Ability to travel up to 30%, including international and overnight stays.
