GE Healthcare EHS Specialist (f/m/d) in Remote, Germany

Job Description Summary

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for supporting contractor EHS management programs and the qualification/re-qualification of external contractors and channel partners globally. This position report to the GE HealthCare EHS Services Manager.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. Develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE Healthcare. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

  • Communicate with all GE Healthcare sub-regions and sites to gather contractor/channel partner information.

  • Assist external contractors/channel partners through the EHS pre-qualification process.

  • Assist external contractors/ channel partners through the EHS investigation or infraction process.

  • Monitor compliance status and address any deficiencies.

  • Track the prequalification status of contractors/channel partners and maintain communication with relevant sites.

  • Conduct training sessions on contractor safety management tools.

  • Manage the contractor management tool and report contractor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to leadership.

  • Monitor and follow up on contractor incidents and events. Report status and actions to the contractor EHS team.

  • Conduct remote audits of external partner EHS Programs

  • Provide support in translating basic documents for compliance and standards verifications.

  • Supporting member of the contractor/ construction global EHS committee. Document and share meeting minutes, actions plans and follow up with participants for action status.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Proficiency in English, French, Arabic and German OR English, Portuguese, Spanish and German

  • Proven experience in Environmental Health & Safety support role

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Familiarity with EHS digital tools (e.g., Gensuite, Smartsheet, Tableau).

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
