The Director of Corporate Systems role is accountable for the technology that supports all corporate functions including HR, Finance, Customer Support, , and Sourcing. Given our scale this role drives materials business outcomes and can directly affect our 50K associates. This leader needs to bring associate empathy, delivery excellence, strategic supplier management, and global leadership to the role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of highly skilled engineers and analysts to deliver the processes and technology that keep the internal operations of the company working. The ideal candidate will have some functional knowledge, a track record of high-quality delivery, and experience leading a diverse team.

What You’ll Do…  

• Partner with business partners to create and deliver the technology roadmap for HR, Finance, Customer Service, and Sourcing

• Lead-leaders: coach, motivate, lead a team of experienced managers

• Set a high bar and help teams achieve it

• Manage large strategic suppliers including Workday, Salesforce, NICE, Microsoft and smaller operational suppliers

• Partner across IT to understand dependencies and connect the dots on technology changes

• Lead custom development to bring unique needs to life outside of SaaS products

• Communicate for impact - manage a network of relationships to ensure clear communication of risks/issues/decisions/impact

• Help the team and business partners priorities

• Help the team solve problems by asking questions and bringing new thinking to the situation

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Strategic Planning & Management

• Plan & manage corporate systems

• Partner with key leaders across the enterprise to help define initiatives to support HRB business imperatives

• Work closely with executive management to drive strategic technology decisions & manage technology roadmap

  1. People Management & Leadership

• Lead a high-performing team to deliver high-quality technology outcomes

• Create an environment that inspires the team to create bold strategies & deliver creative solutions with measurable impact for HRB and our associates

  1. Execution Management

• Partner with stakeholders across the HRB organization to ensure alignment of technology programs to key business imperatives & initiatives

• Partner with other IT delivery leaders to ensure effective implementation of dependent solutions

• Understand and drive use of enterprise technology standards and practices

  1. Delivery Excellence

• Manage both initiatives that fall into both product work and project work

• Manage and provide visibility to risks/issues/decisions

• See through to the end and assess roadblocks and the long-pole-in-the-tent – manage them

• Tell the story, bring people along the journey

• Experience managing relationships with Workday, Saleforce, NICE, or Microsoft

• 10 years minimum related work experience

What you'll bring to the team... :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and work experience

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of release schedules, tight deadlines, and competitive demands

• Seven years people and/or product management experience with increasing levels of responsibility; demonstrated skills with performing organizational design, performing risk assessments, setting priorities and negotiating competing priorities

• Experience with cost benefit analysis NPV calculations in preparing/reviewing business cases.

• Experience developing and managing a multi-million dollar budget (greater than $5 million)

• Experience with Agile/Devops principles

• Supplier management and tactics

• Ability to balance what are often times competing priorities between various product customers

• Demonstrated leadership/management, strategic planning, negotiation, and influence management skills

• Ability to work with external vendors, guide groups toward a vision, and deal with ambiguity

• Strong presentation skills necessary to communicate and influence a wide range of audiences
