The Opportunity:

  • The desired candidate will work in a team administering a SOA/Middleware solution and perform daily health check of SOA/Middleware components, apply approved SOA/Middleware builds in pre-prod and Production environments, advise on change requests to the SOA/Middleware components, and recommend process improvements to the SOA/Middleware components.

  • The candidate will also resolve issues in pre-prod and production environments with the SOA/Middleware layer, gather and interpret logs, identify root cause and corrective action needed to restore and maintain system stability to the middleware and advise on future improvements to the SOA/Middleware components.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer middleware components of interfaces including SOA, OSB, WSM

  • Oracle SOA 12c Administration specialist supporting daily administration activities of SOA servers

  • Monitor and troubleshoot SOA/BPEL runtime issue, review runtime diagnostic logs to identify root cause and provide solution

  • Troubleshoot WebLogic, security, and network issues related to Oracle SOA applications

  • Review Technical Design Documents and code to understand middleware functionality of RICE interfaces

  • Work closely with Interface Lead to plan upgrades and improvements to middleware components

  • Update relevant documentation for changes to middleware

  • Review change requests and aid in gathering requirements for middleware

  • Confirm logging parameters align with desired information gathering requirements

  • Provide technical support for migrated patches to middleware

  • Prepare design alternatives and design specification documents.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and seven years of relevant experience

  • Experience deploying BPEL process, monitoring SOA applications, and configuring SOA Servers in cluster environment

  • Experience configuring runtime SOA/BPEL, JMX properties, log properties and understand the lifecycle of SOA/BPEL processes

  • Experience diagnosing functionality of SOA composite processes and performance tuning of SOA servers

  • Experience with WebLogic 12c and 12c Enterprise Manager, and knowledge of installation and configuration of WebLogic

  • Experience with Oracle SOA adapters, especially Oracle DB adapter, EBS adapter, file adapter, http adapter and Rest adapter

  • Experience in Web Service development and support and knowledge of XML, WSDL, XSLT, XSQL

  • Experience with Oracle database, PL/SQL, Java, and Linux environment

  • Experience writing/modifying Linux shell scripts and utilities (i.e., tar, vi, etc.)

  • Experience running WebLogic scripts in Jython

  • Experience running SOA lifecycle scripts

  • Experience working with Oracle Support to diagnose and remediate issues with SOA environment

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (i.e., OCA WebLogic 11g SA, OCI Foundations 2020, Security+ CE)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain an IT-2 background investigation.

Desired:

  • SOA 12c BPEL design and development experience

  • Oracle OSB 12c development experience, support of daily administration activities of OSB servers

  • Experience in configuration of OSB proxy and business objects

  • Experience in TLS/SSL, troubleshoot connection issue and review SSL log

  • Knowledge of 2-way TLS communication, Web Service Security, SAML, and PKI certificates.

  • Experience in Web Service Manager including applying web service policy to SOA BPEL and OSB

  • Experience in Oracle OHS

  • Experience in Oracle EBS SOA Gateway module

  • Experiences in Web Services development

  • Proficiency in using Oracle ERP APIs and Open Interface tables for integration

  • Knowledge of middleware technologies for seamless integration between Oracle EBS and other applications

  • Ability to develop, test, and maintain custom APIs for integration with Oracle EBS

  • Experience in DoD systems and processes.

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100-$172,400
