Responsibilities
Position Summary:
In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health the OB technician is a professional caregiver who works under the direction of an RN. They provide direct patient care and acts as a scrub technician for surgical procedures. They assume responsibility and accountability for organizing and maintaining supplies and charges to ensure an efficient work environment. Incumbents in this position shall comply with all applicable laws and rules including the Dignity Health Standards of Conduct and Dignity Health policies and procedures that apply to his/her job responsibilities seek guidance when in doubt promptly report any potential or suspected violation of Dignity Health Standards of Conduct Dignity Health policy or procedure or applicable laws/regulations and when requested assist Dignity Health personnel in investigating all allegations of violation. When called upon the incumbent shall assist in risk evaluation and work collaboratively with facility/entity leaders to implement monitor and mitigate risk corrective plans outlined by the Compliance program.
Qualifications
Minimum:
One year acute care hospital experience as an Obstetrical Technician or completion of a Surgical Tech program required.
High School Graduate or equivalent required.
Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support for healthcare providers (AHA BLS CPR).
Basic computer skills required.
Pay Range
$32.84 - $40.24 /hour
