Summary About the Position: This position is with the Office of the Program Manager - Saudi Arabian National Guard (OPM-SANG). The position is located in Huntsville, AL which is the primary CONUS location, though there is a satellite office in New Cumberland, PA as well. Responsibilities Monitor and coordinate Army directed training, i.e. Operations Security, SHARP, Information Assurance, Antiterrorism, etc. to ensure all personnel complete directed training required by the Army and DoD. Responsible for developing, analyzing, measuring and recommending ways to improve program performance, effectiveness, efficiency, and timeliness of work operations, and administrative process and programs throughout lateral and higher headquarters Assists CMO Director and management in rolling out office policies, goals, and objectives and provide support for establishment of methods of operation. Provides advice and guidance on the interpretation and application of administrative policies and directives. Ensures mandatory training IAW AR 350-1 is generated or completed under individual profiles. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Monitor and coordinate Army directed training, i.e. Operations Security, SHARP, Information Assurance, Antiterrorism, etc. to ensure all personnel complete directed training required by the Army and DoD.; 2) developing, analyzing, measuring and recommending ways to improve program performance, effectiveness, efficiency, and timeliness of work operations, and administrative process and programs throughout lateral and higher headquarters; 3) Assists with development of strategic plans supporting the organization's short, mid, and long-term programs and activities designed to improve its capacity and capability to accomplish existing and future goals, objectives, and expectations as it applies to the OPM SANG mission support. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral Communication Strategic Thinking Technical Competence Writing Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
