Materiel Readiness Activities Logistics Management Specialist in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama

About the Position: This position serves as a Logistics Management Specialist performing work on one or more logistics systems involved with the management, visibility, and reporting of asset and/or item data. Responsibilities Assists higher graded personnel supporting Armys logistics business processes and associated data in the management of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and non-ERP supply and material management in Army logistics Information Systems (LIS). Assist in consolidating study results and presents alternatives and solutions. Under the purview of a senior Logistics Management Specialist, develops and maintains appropriate documentation and functional user instructions. Performs data research and analysis using automation. Incumbent is required to prepare and provide briefings or training classes as required. Develops methods to identify, analyze and resolve problems identified. Specialized Experience for GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes developing the functional requirement documentation necessary to develop a capability such as a logistics application or a report capability; utilize automated Logistics Information Systems to include the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics Management, Business Administration, Computer Science or any other fields related to this position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Specialized Experience for GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes developing the functional requirement documentation necessary to accomplish the operation; utilize automated Logistics Information Systems to include the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) Master Data; and researching and resolving systems issues and identifying logistics program requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service Research Systems Life Cycle Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
