Your day at NTT DATA

Please note critical skills of must have experience selling 500G+ connections to clients with wholesale IP transit needs (i.e. gaming, hosting, CDN, OTT, etc.). The Strategic Client Manager is responsible for generating new revenue from the sale of high bandwidth IP transit services together with associated other value-added services, to ISPs and Internet-centric companies, both domestically and internationally. This role requires management and growth of large scale named accounts with significant analysis of technical and commercial terms as well as hunting for prospective new logos.

What you'll be doing

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for development of complex multi-component business solutions within the Technology and/or ISP industries

  • Generate demand and selling Global IP Network solutions by assisting clients

  • Identify and qualify current needs and effectively articulate how NTT can add value through its services and solutions offered.

  • Address the objections that a client may pose in advancing wholesale solutions.

  • Generate new sales consistent with monthly NIMRR targets.

  • Prepare commercial and technical service proposals and ensure such proposals are technically and commercially sound.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with named prospects and customers

  • Develop close working relationships with NTT international affiliate companies

  • Develop a quarterly business plan consistent with department objectives.

  • Track, manage, and report ongoing activity relative to plan.

  • Appropriately allocate sales time between assigned clients and new prospect opportunities; yet ensure the focus remains on the top clients/prospects and balance opportunity size with likely outcomes.

  • Prepare and deliver professionally structured and written customer proposals with limited supervision.

  • Work efficiently with finance, sales engineering, legal, IP engineering resources.

  • Communicate efficiently to senior management both within and outside the company.

  • Travel, as permitted, to customer meetings, trade events and other business events as may be required.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Be responsible for participating and successfully completing all companywide mandates/training in a timely manner.

  • Comply with all Ethics and professional standards.

  • Comply with all corporate and organizational security policies and guidelines.

  • Abide by all policies and procedures.

This role is perfect for you, if you:

  • Must have 5-7 years of experience selling high-capacity connections (500+ Gig) to clients in industries like gaming, hosting, CDN, OTT, etc.

  • Have good knowledge of key global IP Networks & Service providers, Ethernet service offerings, CDN and DDoS services.

  • Thorough understanding of the underlying technologies and economics of the Internet.

  • Must be familiar with the unique technical requirements of large network customers.

  • Have a good understanding of the respective strengths and weaknesses of such Providers.

  • A track record of over-achieving sales targets with Wholesale and/or Major Accounts (experience with global sales in that space preferred).

  • Have good knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.

  • Have good knowledge of Salesforce.com or similar CRM.

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field preferred.

Working Conditions:

This is a home office-based position, with some travel for company/sales meetings as well as to client sites. Flexibility to work outside of standard 9am-6pm local time zone hours may be required at times to support this global team.

Target Base Salary: $115,000-$130,000K (based on experience) plus variable commissions.

NTT intends to offer a base pay within this range dependent upon factors such as experience and job-related requirements. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards offerings that NTT provides to employees.
