We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Networking team where you'll architect and implement cutting-edge networking solutions for multiplayer games. Responsibilities

• Design solutions for systems which result in simple, extensible and maintainable high-quality code.

• Lead design, implementation, and code reviews across the Minecraft Networking space.

• Continuously improve or enhance existing systems for a better customer experience.

• Ensure consistent, maintainable unit and functional tests to help monitor system quality.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

• OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience developing in C++ with an understanding of the architecture of modern game engines.

• 1+ years experience working in a Networking related field with a proficiency in designing, debugging and programming in the area.

• Ability to prototype, iterate, and take proactive initiative to advance projects.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
