Microsoft Corporation Senior Finance Manager, BizApps Revenue Planning in Redmond, Washington

Fundamentally, our Business Applications (BizApps) products empower organizations to simplify and augment their processes across various functional roles (Human Resource, Sales, etc.). Customers have the option of purchasing ready-to-go 1P applications (Finance, Service) or building their own custom apps via Low Code tools. Generative AI technology is anticipated to change the way customers manage these functions, presenting an opportunity for total addressable market (TAM) expansion via new business models and innovation.

The revenue planning team achieves impact by influencing outcomes of business investigations via strategic and financial analysis. We create economic frameworks, return on investment (ROI) models, and market sizing to drive prioritization of resources. Day to day responsibilities involve partnering across Marketing, Engineering, and Sales on business priorities.

The Dynamics Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) portfolio includes Finance, Supply Chain, and Commerce modules. Our ERP suite enables leaders within an organization to better track, manage, and forecast their business performance. This role will own monetization and deal evaluation for the ERP category as well as help build out a general ROI / investment framework for BizApps.

Examples of recent or ongoing projects include:

  • Revenue / TAM sizing for Autonomous ERP

  • Valuation modeling for IP acquisition/licensing deals

  • Early thinking on agentic / consumptive business models

  • Assessing margin implications for new features in hero products

The Senior Finance Manager, BizApps Revenue Planning is a self-starter who can prioritize effectively, operate independently, and deliver concise presentations in front of executives. Ability to frame a complex problem, curiosity/interest in MS products, and positive attitude are keys to success on the team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop recommendations on promotional offers and pricing for in-market products

  • Drive opportunity assessment and economic sizing for new products and initiatives, developing a point of view and recommendation for go/no go outcomes

  • Lead financial analysis for acquisitions and partnerships for select products within the Dynamics portfolio (ex: Customer Relationship Management (CRM))

  • Create a long range plan/revenue forecast for respective lines of business and surface risks / opportunities for additional revenue

  • Act as a culture champion driving continuous improvement & leading to “best place to work” environment

Protect

  • Ensures compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring the accuracy of financial documents and business processes.

  • Drives corrective measures.

  • Consults with business partners on sharing financial information, approved instruments and processes, and consistency with corporate policies.

  • Collaborates with Compliance groups to ensure the team is current on company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to lead and influence business partners through executive maturity and balanced self-awareness

  • Polished interpersonal skills, including proficient verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated drive; ability to effectively manage multiple projects, have attention to detail, and work effectively under deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience developing insightful financial models and analysis with an appreciation for both details and the bigger picture

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
