Microsoft Purview's suite of products includes data security, insider risk management, legal eDiscovery, communication compliance, and data lifecycle management, supported by Copilot for Security innovations. The Data and Applied Sciences Research team leads the way in pioneering AI and machine learning innovations, specializing in deep learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs/GPT), graph models, AutoGPTs, chatbots, etc. Our research is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology, anticipating future needs, and seamlessly integrating AI innovations into our product suite. We aim to deliver groundbreaking solutions that not only address current demands but also establish the groundwork for transformative advancements in data and applied sciences.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Data Science Program Manager who is passionate about the latest AI advancements and is willing to take on variety of challenges in program management, driving complex and cross team workstreams involving technical and partnership-focused efforts with impact on Microsoft Purview - to join our dynamic team. Decisions will need to be made using data driven processes, including multiple stakeholders, while keeping business results in mind. Driving and facilitating such projects requires operational excellence and high, measurable bar for delivery. Responsibilities
Create and drive clear and well-oiled execution plans for advanced and complex workstreams involving latest ML and AI technologies.
Evangelize applied research proof-of-concept projects to partner engineering, product management and customer experience teams and collaborate closely with both our data science team and partner teams.
Present to leadership and executives plans, timelines, risks, misalignments. Coordinate demo delivery to leadership and executives.
Define and evaluate metrics for success so the team stays on track and maintains a high quality bar.
Become a subject matter expert for various offerings of Microsoft Purview and stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques in data science, machine learning, and advance AI systems.
Improve efficiency in a dynamic applied research environment where the process is fluid, frequently completely new, and creative solutions are a norm.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
OR equivalent experience.
2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
OR equivalent experience.
6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
