Microsoft Corporation Senior Business Manager in Redmond, Washington

Microsoft is a company where passionate innovators come to collaborate, envision what can be and take their careers further. This is a world of more possibilities, more innovation, more openness, and the sky is the limit thinking in a cloud-enabled world.

Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. Our mission is to build the data platform for the age of AI, powering a new class of data-first applications and driving a data culture.

The Azure Data chief of staff team manages all the behind-the-scenes Budget, Headcount and People operations to ensure that the Azure Data Engineering priorities can be achieved. Our team makes a tangible impact on this growing organization, getting things done efficiently, at scale. Our work spans large and diverse global teams, and we develop programs, tools and practices that streamline the business and drive results.

We are looking for a Senior Business Manager to join our team and serve as a trusted partner to the Chief of Staff within the office of the CVP. In this role you will set the strategy and execute content for internal communication; support preparedness for CVP external customer engagements and sponsorships; and help to manage the rhythm of business (ROB). This role requires a breadth of communication and business operations experience, and you should have proven success in working in a fast-paced environment and managing and influencing stakeholders without authority. We are data driven in all that we do, constantly seeking to not only benchmark and measure, but also analyzing the data and proactively suggesting and implementing message, format, and content improvements to constantly innovate and evolve. You’ll be a vital, trusted member of a tight-knit team, an exemplar of cultural alignment and the highest professional standards. You will manage confidential information without exception.

The ideal candidate is a team player who can think strategically while also being able to execute at a tactical level. You should be able to own and drive work independently, but not in isolation. If you love innovating, fast paced execution, contributing to bigger picture thinking and strategic execution, this role is for you!

We do not just value differences or different perspectives. We seek them out and invite them in so we can tap into the collective power of everyone in the company. As a result, our customers are better served.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
