Microsoft Corporation has the following job opportunity:

 

Provide analytical and programming support for software security products, components, or applications that detect vulnerability exploitation in both consumer and public software ecosystems. Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures, processes and procedures for the protection of computer networks and information. Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement risk mitigation strategies. May ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure. Collaborate with cross functional teams to support operational security and mitigate security incidents, as well as conduct security reviews and document findings. Plan and support research into security issues to eliminate or diminish risks. Telecommute work permitted up to 100% from any location in mainland U.S.

 

Requirements:

  • EDUCATION: Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

     

  • EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of experience in application architecture for security-related issues, source code security review, and application security standards.

     

  • SPECIFIC SKILLS: This position also requires at least 48 months of experience in: Application Security; and Web Application Security; 24 months of experience in: Secure Design Review/Threat modeling; Network Protocols; and Secure Code Review/SAST; and 12 months of experience in: Vulnerability Assessment; and Cloud Security.

Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (job code TSSKN18348), in Redmond, WA (but telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.), is $230,200 to $260,200.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. 

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location. U.S.-based employees also receive, per calendar year, up to 10 paid holidays and personal days (full-time employees receive 6 holidays plus 4 personal days; part-time employees receive 2 holidays plus 2 personal days), and receive up to 80 hours Holistic Health Time Off. Additionally, hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 80 hours paid vacation time, and salaried/exempt employees have Discretionary Time Off (DTO).
