We are looking for an experienced, results-oriented Product Manager who will be collaborating with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and program managers across the company and around the world, responsible for delivering the authentication platform and related security features for our many customers and partners.

Responsibilities

As a Product Manager, you are responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, security, marketing, and legal teams to define the vision, scope, and requirements of the passwordless projects.

  • Drive the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of cross-team projects that enable truly passwordless authentication - starting with passkeys for Windows users - and related features improvements across all our businesses. Ensure a proper balance of security and engineering efficiency.

  • Engage with our business partners to collect qualitative and quantitative feedback on how to continually improve. Measure your feature areas’ effectiveness at meeting objectives and key results, from baseline usage to the effectiveness of security technology, and overall engagement satisfaction on a recurring basis and strive to improve it every day. Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of your features and projects, and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement and optimization.

  • Iterate and evolve authentication technology to ensure increased security coverage for our customers and business partners as the ecosystem continues to mature.

  • Use industry standard methodology with just enough process to efficiently deliver your projects on schedule, to budget and specification.

  • Manage the project schedules, risks, dependencies, and stakeholders, and communicate the project status and progress to stakeholders including senior leadership and other internal and external partners.

  • Ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of your scenarios and deliverables, and adhere to security and privacy standards and best practices.

  • Identify and resolve any issues or blockers that may arise during the project lifecycle, and escalate them as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in windows security or identity

  • 2+ years of product management experience in building and shipping products and/or services

Other Requirements:

Background Check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of leading standards-based passwordless authentication technologies, especially WebAuthn, passkeys, FIDO2 security keys, Windows Hello, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).

  • Having understanding of software security concepts, exploitation techniques, as well as robust problem-solving skills ranging from conceptualization to implementation is a plus.

  • Experience in technical software security consulting or operational security role in building and/or supporting services.

  • Product management experience implementing various platform and web authentication technologies.

Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
