Microsoft Corporation Product Management Manager in Redmond, Washington

We are looking for a Product Management Manager to join our Customer Expereince (CxE) Customer Communities and Partner (CCP) team to lead and ensure that all products developed within the Microsoft Security Division get this level of direct customer and partner feedback throughout the development cycle. As part of the CxE CCP team, your team will help us achieve our bigger goal of bringing customers and engineers together to build products that drive customer and partner success, increase usage, and foster a culture of putting customer and partner feedback at the heart of product development.

Specifically, you will lead a team that delivers a standardized operating model for Microsoft Security Communities, owning processes that cover Customer Lifecycle, Calls & Events, Engagements and community development, while also partnering to continue developing our scale data platform and automation capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • A competent leader who will guide the team that powers thousands of customer and partner interactions, each of which can significantly influence our products and our future.

  • Deliver success through empowerment and accountability of the team by modeling Microsoft’s culture and leadership principles, coaching the team, and investing in and caring for the team as a whole and as individuals.

  • Stay up to date on automation and community technology to inform the long term scale and operational strategy of community program.

  • Identify innovation and incubation opportunities that drive scalability and improvement in the Community model.

  • Serve on the communities leadership team

  • Provide technical leadership for automated workflows that are capable of scaling across Microsoft Security.

  • Own the backlog prioritization, work allocation, and shipping processes in Azure DevOps.

  • Embody operational excellence by coaching and guiding the team through the development and continual improvement of processes.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure operational processes meet service expectations and drive the standardization and adoption of processes across community teams.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years people management experience.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years people management experience.

  • Proven track record at prioritization, creating order out of ambiguity, and process management to achieve a common goal.

  • Experience with experimentation and innovation and Proven solution-finding skills to drive high-impact results.

  • Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team project

  • Experience with Azure DevOps and agile delivery methods

  • Experience turning strategy into action for a scale business.

  • Experience managing Azure infrastructure, particularly PaaS services

  • Experience working with Azure DevOps for managing development and release.

  • Experience with CI/CD deployment pipelines,

  • Experience with data integration, APIs and cloud-based solutions

Product Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
