Commercial Systems & Technology (CST) team within the Engineering, Data, Operations & Tools (EDOT) organization is on a mission to empower every persona in MCAPS with digital capabilities to bring the best of Microsoft to their Customers. We are driving radical AI-led transformation of one of the most complex ecosystems of tools, platforms & experiences. At the same time, we are massively simplifying hundreds to tools built over the years to support various multi-billion MCAPS businesses and building new converged capabilities with agility to support the growing & evolving needs of those businesses. A core part of our mission is to leverage Microsoft products as a Customer Zero to drive this transformation and help our products become world-class!

We are looking for a Principal Product Management Leader who thinks strategically, works pragmatically, and enjoys delivering engineering solutions across a matrix of partner engineering teams. You will lead a team and act as a trusted partner to many MCAPS businesses with a multi-billion-dollar revenue generating unit enabling them to further grow/scale with accelerated digital solutions. In this role, you will be accountable for a portfolio of multiple products and solutions end-to-end. You will spearhead the vision and strategic direction, crafting comprehensive roadmaps and defining requirements. You will oversee the product delivery lifecycle, from inception to launch, and ensure that our solutions are adopted effectively and deliver tangible value to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Accelerate the digital transformation of one or more MCAPS businesses.

  • Manage and lead a connected product suite from vision, planning, user experience, delivery, performance etc.

  • Lead trusted-advisor partnerships with senior business leaders to synthesize their key priorities & outcomes and drive impactful technology roadmap that will accelerate those.

  • Demonstrate & drive user obsession and distill key persona pain points to solve for with solutions, especially with AI-first mindset.

  • Lead cross-functional business teams to distill clear business & user requirements .

  • Drive convergence across business & engineering teams on optimal design and solution paths.

  • Re-imagine how the business processes & workflows can be run differently leveraging AI . Bring AI in the flow of work in an intuitive way.

  • Define Objectives & Key Results (OKRs), drive prioritization and planning motion with partner engineering teams to build roadmap of multiple product/services.

  • In conjunction with the above North Star roadmap and plan, assess areas where agility is needed and lead the product development cycle on those agile solutions, accelerating the time to value for the business. Drive end-to-end engineering lifecycle on agile and AI solutions.

  • Deliver measurable business results in a data-driven manner.

  • Effectively communicate product roadmaps & plans , accruing progress towards business goals.

  • Lead a lean team of subject matter experts (SMEs) to amplify and scale impact.

  • Create a thriving organizational culture by managing a team through our Model, Coach, Care leadership principles

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years people management experience.

  • 8+ years experience delivering functional and technical requirements and delivering engineering solutions and products.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrate the Model, Coach, Care principles in leading a team of talented SMEs in each area.

  • Deep business acumen in enterprise software business and understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) impacting levers therein to understand key needle-moving scenarios and translate them as product/solution requirements.

  • Collaborate effectively with senior leaders across organizations to manage stakeholders, drive alignment, and deliver impact.

  • Experience across internal and external cloud solutions and deep understanding in technology landscape.

  • Drive engineering execution and delivery across all the disciplines to deliver scenarios and features with very high quality and agility.

  • Ability to communicate ideas effectively with engineers, leadership teams, as well as non-technical partners and customers.

  • Experience in analyzing data, deriving actionable insights to drive impactful engineering solutions.

  • Orientation to learn new areas and ability to adopt quickly to dynamic business conditions.

Product Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $158,500 - $276,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,800 - $304,200 per year.
