A Lab Technician is needed for an American multinational technology company that develops, manufactures, licenses, supports, and sells computer software, consumer electronics, personal computers, and related services in the Redmond, WA area. A hands-on CAD/Fab Lab Technician role focused on prototyping, 3D printing, and electrical troubleshooting within an advanced development lab, supporting diverse projects with a focus on technical skills and flexibility.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance on robotics and prototype circuits/enclosures (e.g., 3D printing).

• Convert hardware (e.g., video cards) to liquid cooling capabilities.

• Utilize CAD software for design modifications.

• Prototype mechanical systems and hardware.

• Build and assemble PCBs and electronic components.

• Fabricate projects using additive manufacturing technologies (3D printing).

• Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs.

• Conduct server maintenance and computer networking tasks.

• Manage inventory and maintain lab equipment.

Skills:

• Proficiency in 3D printing, CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo), and basic coding (Linux).

• Ideal candidates possess diverse skills across various technical areas.

• Performance evaluated on work quality and communication.

Education and Experience:

• No formal degree required, emphasis on hands-on skills.

• 3-5 years of experience in related fields.
