Microsoft Corporation Finance Manager, Cloud Revenue in Redmond, Washington

We are seeking Finance Manager, Cloud Revenue to join the TSI Finance team to drive revenue modeling and provide deep product insights. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute towards Microsoft’s philanthropic commitment. In this role, you will closely partner with the TSI Sales team to deliver sustainable revenue growth, support the finance rhythm of business (RoB), provide insights to support business investment decisions, and effectively communicate the business results.

Responsibilities

Prioritize

  • Drive understanding of business health through financial modeling and analysis of industry benchmarks, customer patterns, and broader commercial trends

  • Provide actionable insights to the business to ensure execution of plans and accountability for results

  • Develop financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning

Partnership

  • Drive actions with stakeholders to achieve business goals, including revenue generation and resource allocation through close collaboration

  • Communicate results and insights in a clear and compelling manner

  • Lead on-going efforts to develop and evolve our insights framework with key partners across finance and the business to stay up to date with the business need and land growth opportunity

  • Collaborate across Corporate and Field Finance teams to share business insights, drive alignment, and leverage top practices

Protect

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and business processes

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 3+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience

  • OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 5+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year(s) of experience with financial modeling, analysis, planning and reporting tools and systems.

  • 1+ year(s) work experience in a matrix-based organization.

  • 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.

  • Demonstrated presentation skills with the ability to communicate, influence and collaborate with management and business partners.

  • Experience translating financial analysis into meaningful and actionable business insights and recommendations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and other similar financial analysis tools.

Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year.
