Nokia of America Corporation, FEMTO RAN Engineer (Multiple Positions), Redmond, WA.
Perform RAN testing and validation, regression testing of new FEMTO software and hardware, and perform commissioning and integration of RAN related hardware. Interface with both internal and external customers to provide commissioning and integration of FEMTO RAN hardware/software as well as provide technical RAN support related services. Validate and prepare test cases and system documentation. Monitor system performance and help to root cause deviations in performance. Troubleshoot and assist in root cause analysis of software and hardware related issues. Perform implementation of new software and maintenance loads. Support lab/pilot/FOA planning and validation of new hardware and software. Perform testing of interoperability of 3rd party products. Assist with customer problem investigation and support all facets of resolution on-site / customer lab.
SALARY RANGE: $145,860 -- $ 200,200 per year
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.--5:00 p.m.)
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 6 years of experience (of which 5 years must be post-bachelor's, progressive). Or a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 4 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 4 years of experience with the following: RAN Engineering for 5G, 4G, LTE, UMTS or GSM; Radio Network Commissioning and Integration of 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G or LTE; and RAN Commissioning and Integration processes and tools.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Small Cells/FEMTO, including FEMTO Gateway, AAA (Authentication, Authorization Accounting), HDM (Home Device Manager), or SAM (Service Area Manager) node; and, Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis of software and hardware related issues in customer network.
Domestic travel up to 50% required.
Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Redmond, WA may be permitted up to 30%.
