MICROSOFT CORP Electrical Engineering in Redmond, Washington

Design, develop, modify, or evaluate electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, or systems related to Microsoft technologies. Research, design, develop, test, or monitor the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems that support Microsoft technologies. Develop test plans in the preparation and execution of design testing or prototype fabrication. Analyze designs and devices to establish operating parameters, conduct experimental tests through both simulation and physical evaluation, and perform analyses on data generated from test results to verify and validate whether operating parameters are met. Identify root causes for technical issues, flaws, and design challenges, and develop and implement solutions. May select device materials and components based on analysis of specifications and reliability. May generate documentation related to designs, including development status, technical specifications, functionality, materials, compatibility with other devices, and testing procedures. Telecommuting permitted 50% or more per week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Three (3) years of experience designing and developing highly complex circuits utilizing CAD or other high-level programming.
  • Alternative Requirements:In lieu of a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree employer will accept two (2) additional years of experience in designing and developing highly complex circuits utilizing CAD or other high-level programming.
  • Specific skills:Must include at least 60 months of experience in: DFM, DFA and DFT requirements; Creating eCAD library symbols and Footprints; at least 36 months of experience in: Cadence Allegro Layout design tool; Design or Footprint creation for High Speed Design; Allegro Design Entry HDL tool design or symbol creation ; Design Data Management and Product Management tool usage in eCAD library management; and OrCAD Design Entry CIS tool design or symbol creation experience; and education or experience in: Analyzing project system to understand the hardware requirement to component placement.
  • Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.

Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (TSKBR17504), in Redmond, WA is $158,960 to $188,960.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
