Microsoft Corporation Director, Financing Programs in Redmond, Washington

Global Treasury & Financial Services (GTFS) is a global team that supports the digital transformation journey of Microsoft’s customers, partners & vendors by providing competitive credit and payment solutions to support revenue growth while managing credit risk. We support $120B in trade receivables and $14B in payment solutions per year in global markets. The team is also charged with managing over $130B of investment portfolio, currency risk, bank account infrastructure and business risk insurance.

The GTFS team is looking for a Director, Financing Programs , to provide thought leadership, by working with various stakeholders across the company. If you have a passion for structured finance, customer financing, creative digital infrastructure financing and the ability to look at processes end-to-end, this is a role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a diverse team across the company to help execute customer financing, AI & Data Center funding through innovative financing.

  • Lead global customer financingleveraging bank partnerships, and support the AI & Data Center funding, aligning with the company’s objectives, industry trends and competitive landscape analysis.

  • Assist in the development of financing frameworks to facilitate the implementation of bank financing & Data Centers/AI vision of the company.

  • Lead Supply Chain Financing program for tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers and collaborating with the banks to ensure successful execution of the program.

  • Create and manage financing programs for our customers and partner with the banks to successfully execute on the programs

  • Lead and manage risk assessment framework and ensure that appropriate mitigation measures are established and implemented.

  • Partner with external financial institutions like commercial banks to stay informed about the latest developments in the industry to ensure we have the best-in-classfinancing vehicles.

  • Drive strategic dialogues with executives across the company & contribute to whitepapers.

  • Represent GTFS in cross-company Data Center related v-teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; AND 10+ years experience with background in treasury, finance, or accounting

Additional or Preferred Qualifications :

  • 12+ years finance, investment banking or corporate environment with focus on structured finance or management consulting.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, adept at managing multiple complex projects with varying deadlines.

  • Skilled in navigating ambiguity, strategic thinker and delivering results in a dynamic environment.

  • Systems thinker with experience understanding dependency on tax, accounting, legal and regulatory aspects of a deal.

  • Capable of uniting teams across the organization, leading through influence and fostering an inclusive culture.

  • Demonstrates a growth mindset, quickly adapts to new business challenges while maintaining a focus on compliance.

  • Understanding of financing vehicles, structured finance, digital infrastructure finance, energy markets and data center ecosystem and trends.

  • Experience with banks in helping create unique financing structures for infrastructures.

  • Semiconductor finance experience is a plus.

  • Experience with defining vision and strategy.

  • Treasury M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
