Meta Digital Mixed Signal Design Engineer in Redmond, Washington

Summary:

Join Meta's Wearable Silicon AMS team as a Digital Mixed Signal Design Engineer and work alongside world-class researchers and engineers to develop cutting-edge AMS IP's and IC's. You will use your digital design skills to implement and optimize state-of-the-art AMS IP's, while also supporting the development of next-gen custom mixed signal IC's for our industry-leading virtual and augmented reality systems.

Required Skills:

Digital Mixed Signal Design Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with AMS architects to define micro-architecture of digital mixed signal IC

  2. Develop micro architecture and implementation of digital controllers and interfaces for analog mixed signal IP's

  3. Develop and maintain design documentation, including block diagrams, timing diagrams, and design specifications

  4. Work with verification team to develop testbenches, test plans, and test cases to ensure design functionality and quality

  5. Create timing constraints, UPF files, and other collateral for hand-off to physical design

  6. Perform RTL power analysis and optimization to meet low power requirements

  7. Support test program development, chip validation, and chip life until production maturity

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  2. 5+ years of micro architecture and digital design experience

  3. Experience with mixed signal control loops (e.g., ADC controller, digital PLL)

  4. Proficiency in RTL coding, synthesis, and chip integration

  5. Experience integrating analog mixed signal IP

  6. Experience with front end EDA tools such as Synopsys VCS, Cadence Xcelium, Spyglass or equivalent

  7. Familiarity with at least one procedural programming language (C, C++, Python, etc.)

  1. Master or PhD degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent

  2. Familiarity with UVM methodology

  3. Experience with low power design and optimization, including UPF

  4. Digital signal processing experience

  5. Familiarity with common on-chip bus protocols (AMBA AXI/AHB/APB, OCP) and serial protocols (I2C/SPI)

Public Compensation:

$142,000/year to $203,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
