Job Title: Business Analyst II

Job Description

We are seeking a Business Analyst II who will review, analyze, and complete government grant proposals. This role involves completing detailed state grant applications to secure funding as part of the Broadband, Equity, Access, and Development program. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in corporate strategy, business administration, or a related area, preferably including work with public administration or government-funded projects. The role requires strong project ownership and the ability to navigate complex bureaucratic processes. You will rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, perform a variety of complicated tasks, and potentially lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze government grant proposals.

  • Complete detailed state grant applications to secure funding.

  • Demonstrate strong project ownership and navigate complex bureaucratic processes.

  • Plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment.

  • Perform a variety of complicated tasks.

  • Lead and direct the work of others as needed.

  • Report directly to a project lead or manager.

Essential Skills

  • 4-6 years of experience in corporate strategy, business administration, or a related area.

  • Experience with public administration or government-funded projects.

  • Strong project ownership and ability to navigate complex bureaucratic processes.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Strong analytical skills for reviewing and completing business proposals.

  • Clear decision-making and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in planning and accomplishing goals.

  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others.

  • Creativity and latitude in task execution.

Work Environment

The daily schedule includes reviewing documents and processes with program management. The nature of the work is appropriate for a temporary grant writer, with each application taking up to 5 days to review, draft responses, coordinate with stakeholders, and gain approval. The position may be extended or converted based on project needs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00
