Company Description The targeted hiring range for this Retail Store Manager position is $54,080 to $75,610 plus commission depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Job Description Red Wing Shoes is seeking our next Retail Store Manager to lead our Flagship Retail location in Red Wing, MN. This role is responsible for the overall operations of the store by selling profitably, controlling expenses, developing business, managing inventory and merchandising, and leading and training. This role will manage store personnel in the areas of hiring, coaching, training and performance management. This role will directly report to the Region Operations Manager of the West. Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, with a minimum of two years of leadership in direct to consumer, or retail experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education. Relevant footwear and/or wholesale experience is preferred. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Demonstrated leadership experience through various mentorship, influence, and direct reporting relationships Deep understanding of retail management principles, including inventory control, merchandising, and store layout. Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail technology In-depth knowledge of customer service principles and techniques, including handling complaints and resolving issues. Familiarity with sales strategies, promotional techniques including tent and warehouse sale execution. Knowledge of visual merchandising standards and best practices Understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and sales forecasting including profit and loss Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics relevant to retail. Knowledge of recruitment, training, and employee development practices Comprehensive understanding of the store's brand values, product lines, and competitive positioning. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, customers, and corporate teams. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Lifting 50 pounds, bending/squatting to lace shoes, overhead lifting, twisting, climbing a ladder, standing for long periods of time Housekeeping duties including but not limited to: vacuuming, mopping & waxing floors, washing windows, use of disinfectant chemicals, discarding of all trash, maintaining recycling, installing, and maintaining furniture, fixtures, and displays.
