Opportunity House Shelter Dorm Staff- 3rd Shift in READING, Pennsylvania

Meet the daily needs of shelter clients, staff and volunteers, while maintaining a safe environment for all stakeholders.

Essential Functions/Duties

  • Oversee the daily activities of program participants
  • Meet the needs of program participants --
  • Interact with staff and volunteers on related matters
  • Complete participant intakes
  • Complete required paperwork and document for program related maters
  • Document in log book --
  • Train new staff as needed
  • Complete incident reports
  • Perform quarterly fire drills
  • Complete monthly reports
  • Attend staff meetings as needed
  • Perform related work as required

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Training:

· High School Diploma/GED

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

· Ability to read and write and a high school level

· Ability to accurately and neatly complete program documents

Experience:

· Six (6) month prior experience working with the homeless population or previous personal experience with homelessness is preferred but not required
