Job Description:

Pitney Bowes is hiring a Senior Onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician, 1st Shift in Reading, Pennsylvania near the greater Philadelphia area.

Your hourly pay range is $36.25 - $38.75.

Your schedule will be Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday from 6:15AM - 2:45PM EST.

You will:

• Perform mechanical and electronic repairs of all equipment including conveyor system, printer, and sorting equipment.

• Respond to equipment break down or emergency situations with urgency and expediency.

• Complete preventative maintenance according to TQM and vendor operating standards.

• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.

• Communicate and/or escalate serious equipment issues to the Lead Technician.

• Study, review, and use vendor technical manuals, publications, or updates, as needed, to remain familiar with all changes or modifications to equipment.

• Train, assist and guides other site technicians.

• Utilize inventory, pm schedule, and work order systems, and maintains the spare parts/supply inventory.

• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.

• Perform all other duties as needed.

Your background as a Senior Onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician , you have:

• 5 years direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.

• 5 years strong familiarity servicing mailing equipment, conveyer machines, PLC systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, pulleys, or any other industrial types of electromechanical production equipment preferred.

• An AA degree in Electronics, Computer Science or related field of study is preferred.

• Experience using a multi-meter or any other type of electronic testing equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals and parts diagram preferred.

• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to the operation of automated equipment preferred.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, read schematics, set up priorities, and work under deadline pressures.

• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.
