Oracle Business Development Manager - Commercial Industries in READING, United Kingdom

Job Description

Purpose of the role:

Through agility and innovation, the BDM drive results that propel change. By leveraging the entire Oracle ecosystem using a programmatic approach the BDM will accelerate our business, shape the future, and create demand by continuously advancing and adapting

The BDM is a business partner for sales and will lead the sales teams in their territory planning, support account planning, keep track of pipeline figures and targets, plan and run events and outbound campaigns and coordinate the follow up nurture of inbound leads.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the coordination and execution of business development activities, collaborating with the Transformation Directors, partners and the Sales Development team to execute the GTM strategy and create strong quality pipeline.

Responsibilities

Go to Market Planning and Execution

  • Create GTM plan in collaboration with TDs, SDs, A&C, partners and marketing, secure budget.

  • Own and implement demand generation project plan for each activity.

  • Lead outbound campaign execution, lead event execution.

  • Communicate plans to stakeholders including changes.

Lead Nurture:

  • Own all inbound and outbound leads for the team you are aligned to.

  • Report on lead status, progress and flow to all stakeholders. (implemented by SDR Manager)

  • Ensure leads are loaded quickly and assigned to the right person (executed by SDR manager)

  • Ensure SDRs, TDs follow up leads quickly, ensure opps are qualified consistently and reps are progressing opportunities created.

Governance:

  • Be a business partner for the sales team you are aligned to. Lead business development reviews to provide visibility of upcoming activities and lead progression. Lead quarterly strategy reviews with TDs, A&C and Marketing with sales leads to refine and review the 4RQ GTM plan

  • Ensure each rep, FLM and SD understand what their pipeline should look like in terms of size, shape and quality.

  • Track lead and pipe results and insights, budgets

  • Work with sales to drive event attendance through sales reps

Profile:

  • Extensive experience in business development, ideally in a senior role

  • Experience in commercial industries

  • Lead lots of senior partners – internal and external.

  • Able to lead complexity including driving process changes, understanding sophisticated data sets and able to thrive in a constantly changing environment

  • Flexible – able to adapt without frustration, and thrives with change and ambiguity

  • Market aware, conversant in Oracle Cloud offering and product strategies

  • Ability to build and use internal network

  • Highly productive, effective, clear understanding of business and partner needs. Works with action, clarity and energy.

  • Able to build strategic and tactical plans at scale and track tangible results.
