School Social Worker or School Counselor 2023-2024 School Year Salary Range: *$51,000.00- $78,250.00 Dependent on education and years of experience. *Benefits: * District retirement contribution, sick and personal leave, health insurance options, professional development opportunities, $2,000 sign on stipend, tuition reimbursement *Reports To: Building Administrator Qualifications:
- Wyoming Social Work K-12 certification. Master Degree is required.
Job Summary: * *The job of School Counselor is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process with specific responsibility for managing the schedules and placement of assigned students (secondary school placement); providing course curriculum, information and recommendations to students and parents; and assisting in the development of goals and plans for achievement. The job of Social Worker is done for the purpose/s of providing a comprehensive systems approach to meet the needs of students through early identification, prevention, intervention, counseling, family and community outreach; assisting students in achieving academic proficiency and positive behavioral outcomes by collaborating with the school, families and community; and promoting equal opportunity for all students to acquire the competence and confidence necessary to meet academic and social-emotional goals.
