- Respond to the needs of the hotel guest relating to the maintenance and condition of the hotel, property and grounds.
- Inspect hotel regularly to endure it meets safety standards.
- Complete general repairs and upkeep of operational equipment.
- Oversee hotel building systems such as refrigeration, HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
- Ensure the safety and attractiveness of all hotel areas.
- Perform grounds work and landscaping as needed.
- Arrange for preventative and routine maintenance of hotel rooms, lobby and facilities
- Organize repair projects in a manner that will not disturb guest.
- Find ways to reduces hotels operating cost and conserve energy.
- Maintain expenses and activity logs.
- Maintain and order supplies as needed.
- Approach all encounters with guest as well as employees in a professional and personalized manner throughout all areas of the hotel.
- Maintain a regular attendance and timeliness in compliance with hotel standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain a professional image and positive attitude at all times.
- Actively participate in daily briefings and meetings.
- Understand and execute hotel emergency procedures if an incident should occur.
- Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and services.
