Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, ranging from older models to brand-new machines. This role involves measuring parts, setting up tooling, and handling a variety of materials including plastic, fiberglass, steel, and stainless steel. The candidate should be comfortable with short runs and new setups daily, and must be familiar with Fanuc controls.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including dual spindle, lathes, and mills.

• Use micrometers and calipers to measure parts.

• Pull and set up tooling, including live tooling in lathe machines.

• Operate a variety of machine brands, including Brother and Mazak lathes (manual).

• Measure products and hold high tolerances.

• Handle short runs with new setups daily and manage over 5,000 part numbers.

• Work with various materials such as plastic, fiberglass, steel, and stainless steel.

• Troubleshoot programming issues (programming not required, but a plus).

Essential Skills

• Experience in setting up machines.

• Operation of lathe or mill machines.

• Ability to read blueprints.

• Proficient in using micrometers and calipers.

• Experience in inspecting parts.

• Capability to make program edits.

• Knowledge of Fanuc or G&M codes.

• Experience working with stainless steel parts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in writing programs is a plus.

• Familiarity with 5-axis machines is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM (normal hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM), with potential overtime and occasional Saturday mornings if busy. The work environment is well-lit, temperature-controlled, and very clean.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Ravenna, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $66560.00/yr.
