Creative Composites machine operator in Rapid River, Michigan
Creative Composites has an opening for a full-time/Part-time 3rd shift machinist for a person with excellent hands-on mechanical ability and a familiarity with online & off-line CNC programming. Dependability, adaptability, professionalism, and good work ethic are a must.
Position will include operating a new Haas CNC VMC, 5-axis waterjet & 5-axis router. May also include fabrication of composite structures & armor, which training will be provided for.
Person will be responsible for product & process development, including assistance with tooling design, tooling fabrication, process development and part manufacturing, etc.
CAD experience with solids (Pro/Engineer) is desirable, but not required. Offline programming (Pro/NC, MasterCAM, etc.) experience is also desirable.
Thorough knowledge of G-code, M-code online programming (conversational or otherwise) is required as well as ability to set up equipment and tooling, fabricate and set up fixturing, perform in-process quality checks, etc.
Must be capable of navigating a PC in a Windows-based environment.
Position will require attention to detail, quality, professionalism and pride in workmanship. Working environment is casual, but professional. Wage rates based on experience. Health insurance, paid vacation & holidays are available.
