Adult Day Center of the Black Hills Floor Aide in Rapid City, South Dakota
Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Floor Aide to join our team at the Adult Day Center of the Black Hills. As a Floor Aide, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and engaging environment for our participants.
Essential Functions:
We provide daytime respite for caregivers of people who have conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's, traumatic brain injury, cognitive delays and/or stroke recovery. We are open M-F from 7:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. and this shift would cover the hours of 9:30-5:30.
Completes documentation accurately and in a timely manner according to policies, procedures, and regulations.
Assists in implementing planned activities to enhance physical and mental stimulation and fosters a sense of community and inclusion among participants.
Recognizes and reports changes in the guest's condition to the Executive Director and caregivers.
Required to drive guests on outings or give guests rides to/from our center, cleaning duties and/or help to prepare lunch.
Greets guests and visitors in a pleasant manner, effectively handling their needs.
Consistently and proactively provides quality service to guests- making sure all of our guests are occupied and enjoying themselves during their time with us.
Provides direct personal guest care such as showering, toileting and any other personal care needs of the guest.
Required:
Previous experience in a similar role preferred
Compassionate and patient demeanor
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle diverse responsibilities in a dynamic environment
Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures
Ability to work independently, stay on task
Additional Requirements: Must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Job requires the ability to drive (must be 21 to be insured and have a good driving history).
Preferred: Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies
Certification - Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
