Job Title: Quality Engineer III

Job Description

Responsible for designing and implementing quality assurance systems to ensure products and processes conform to standards. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to develop and improve quality processes and procedures and is responsible for identifying areas where improvements can be made. The role will also conduct auditing of processes to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards, such as ISO 9001 requirements. Additionally, the Quality Engineer III analyzes quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvements and works on the development and maintenance of quality software, documentation, and training programs.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Develop and drive to implementation key operating procedures

• Train user teams on new procedures

• Develop and structure employee training software

• Assist in developing applications for HR and Safety departments

• Lead QA efforts in customer facing issues and projects

• Develop metrics gathered in customer surveys and SCAR/CAPA

• Develop improvement plans based on customer surveys and SCAR/CAPA

• Work with internal teams to drive operational improvements

• Collaborate with team members in writing process work instructions

• Coordinate and lead internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements

• Follow all company safety protocols

• Update our Quality Management System (QMS) with incidents, fixes, and improvements

• Determine quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures

• Review current projects and quality documentation

• Set and track quality assurance goals (e.g., reduce average turnaround time for quality checks by 20%)

• Coordinate with external quality assurance auditors and technicians to ensure compliance

• Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products

• Other duties as assigned.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent work experience

  • Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role

  • Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • Good understanding of technical writing and documentation

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis
