Life Fitness Lead Upholsterer 2nd Shift in Ramsey, Minnesota
*Join us as we empower the world to work out, creating healthier lives together.* *About the Opportunity:* JOB PURPOSE: Lead and participate in the production of high quality upholstered pads in a safe and efficient manner. Support adherence to the production schedule and maintain accurate inventory levels. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Direct team members to meet their daily responsibilities.
- Support safety policies and procedures. Educate team members as appropriate.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages/overages by completing shortage and material usage forms as necessary.
- Support methods that drive adherence to production schedules and deadlines. Inform supervisor of any obstacles.
- Monitor quality and notify the production supervisor of quality concerns.
- Prepare and install upholstery materials.
- Operate forklift and wave machine.
- Report all equipment breakdowns.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous leadership experience is required
- Basic math skills (add, subtract and multiply).
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills
- Able to lead and work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
- Able to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, write and understand).
- Proficient computer skills including email, MS Word, Excel, etc...
- Able to use/operate various upholstery tools, cutting machine and staplers.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of job related experience in a similar role is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Walk, stand, bend, squat, sit, twist/turn, climb stairs/ladders, reach overhead, and grasp tools as necessary.
- Able to operate forklift and wave machine.
