Sr. Quality Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross functional groups and teams and provide quality guidance and support for new and existing product

  • Work with customers to resolve any product or process related issues

  • Facilitate problem solving team meetings

  • Develop quality processes, systems and methods associated with compressors, electro-mechanical products and associated sub-systems

  • Process optimization

  • Validation of protype and production processes and methods

  • Validation of prototype and production gages and instrumentation

  • Generation of quality plans

  • Data collection and analysis

  • Measurement system analysis

  • Develop and present technical updates to cross functional teams, business unit leaders and customers

  • Development of Process and Value Stream maps

  • Development of PFMEAs

  • Development of Control Plans

  • Work with plant quality teams to resolve internal process or supplier material issues

  • Review and approval of PPAP documentation

  • Lean Six Sigma problem solving

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Controls or Electrical Engineering

  • ASQ Certified Green Belt

  • 5-7 years of experience with high volume assembly

  • Proficient with ASME 14.5Y Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

  • At least 3 years in quality engineering role

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience with medium to high volume production

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications: Excel, Power Point and Word

  • Familiar with use of Minitab, Statistica or other statistical software

  • Familiar with use of ERP system such as Oracle or similar

  • Familiar with use of PLM system such as Team Center or Agile

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

  • Travel Required 15% - 20%

Optional Requirements:

  • ASQ Certified CQE

  • New Product Development and Introduction

  • Working knowledge of APQP process and PPAP requirements

  • Working knowledge of Tableau or DOMO analytics applications
