Kimley-Horn Transportation Planner in Raleigh, North Carolina
Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for a transportation planner with 4+ years of experience to join our Raleigh, North Carolina office!
Responsibilities
Manage the planning, production, and delivery of transportation planning activities that may include preparing:
Transportation mobility plans
Multimodal corridor analyses
Transit studies
Pedestrian and bicycle studies
MPO studies including Long Range Transportation Plans (LRTPs)
Complete streets guides
Public engagement
Mapping and cartography
Report production
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution.
Effectively communicate directly with clients, community leaders, and agency staff to provide updates, propose recommendations, and address concerns or questions.
Foster the growth and professional development of junior staff.
Demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Maintain strong organizational skills and attention to quality.
Balance priorities among multiple projects to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) license of Professional Engineering (PE), or ability to obtain within one year
Up to 20% travel time
