Job Title: Structural Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineer with 5 - 9 years of experience in the design of building structures. Candidates who are licensed structural Professional Engineers (PE) or engineers-in-training nearing licensure will be considered. This role involves executing structural design calculations, developing plans and details, coordinating with clients and project design teams, and overseeing construction administration. You will work closely with the firm's partners on unique and complex projects, offering tremendous opportunities to gain expertise and broaden your experience. Depending on your experience, you may independently manage and design projects, acting as the engineer of record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural computations in the design and analysis of concrete, steel, or other miscellaneous structures

  • Create analysis models and interpret results for 2D and 3D structural frames

  • Assist with construction administrative tasks, including site visits and shop drawing review

  • Understand load paths for gravity and lateral loads and calculate applicable loads based on appropriate building codes

  • Assist with design drawings, quantities, cost estimates, specifications, reports, and other project deliverables while working with the structures team

  • Prepare technical studies and reports

Essential Skills

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering

  • 4-8 years of experience in structural engineering

  • P.E. license in your resident state

  • Experience with Revit

  • Experience in the design of mid-rise structures of steel, post-tensioned concrete, and mass timber

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Rhino is a plus

  • EIT (Engineer in Training) certification

Work Environment

The individual will work closely with a team of Structural Engineers and Project Managers at the designated office location. A willingness to collaborate in a team environment and follow established standards is crucial. A client-focused, 'can-do' attitude is essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00
