The Information Protection Risk Management (IPRM) / Digital and AI Risk Team has an exciting opportunity to support Ally’s award-winning digital properties. The Senior Risk Analyst plays a critical role, providing a Business Line risk function, in support of the Digital Products and Experience (DPX) organization. The Risk Management function carries the responsibility to ensure all business lines meet the requirements set forth in the Enterprise Digital Policy and its underlying Standards and Procedures. The IPRM / Digital and AI Risk Team provides daily risk assessments and approvals on any material changes to websites or mobile apps. Further, the Senior Risk Analyst, in close coordination with Digital Compliance and Legal partners, collaborates on issues to develop creative, but also compliant solutions, that serve our customers, protect their transactions, and allow Agile scrum teams to maintain their velocity of change.

Senior Risk Analysts carry many other responsibilities beyond digital governance and direct agile team support.

The Work Itself

  • Support agile scrum teams to provide proactive guidance on risk and compliance concerns as they refine their work prior to, during and after the digital governance process
  • Provide agile scrum teams with the creative problem solving needed to maintain their rapid pace of change while avoiding material risks
  • Periodically lead collaboration sessions, LCR Office Hours meetings and other risk routines
  • Lead core risk management function(s), as assigned, and ensure compliance to Enterprise Risk Management Policy and other governing standards and requirements
  • Coordinate with Independent Risk Management (IRM) on requirements, review and challenge, ongoing monitoring, and reporting requirements
  • Training and continuous professional development is expected to be an integral part of this role
  • Lead key function(s) for the IPRM / Digital and AI Risk team’s risk framework which could include third party risk assessment, issues management, testing and monitoring or other functions as assigned
  • Coordination and collaboration on risk management topics with Compliance, internal Audit, and other risk functions both internal and external to IT
  • Develop and own new processes, or recommend automation opportunities, to increase efficiency and effectiveness of risk management processes
  • Serve as individual contributor

The Skills You Bring

  • High level of problem-solving capability and research-oriented skills to bring new thinking to business problems
  • 3+ years of financial services experience with at least one year of Risk Management and/or Agile environment experience
  • Understanding of the regulatory and risk management requirements impacting the digital channel (e.g. fraud, security, accessibility, disclosures) across lines of business.
  • Familiarity with current digital products and services to include web, mobile, chat, text and the evolving use of artificial intelligence
  • Proven ability to establish programs that require coordination and collaboration across organizations and experience with building strong partnerships with oversight functions (e.g. Legal, Compliance)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all level
  • Expert proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to lead without formal direct reporting authority as well as ability to develop and execute tactical plans
  • Ability to learn specialized applications quickly; proficiency with PowerBI and SharePoint Process Automation preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, data science, or related field

Base Pay Range:

Emerging: 85000

Experienced: 117500

Expert: 150000

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
