UNC Health Care Manager Radiation Oncology Operations in Raleigh, North Carolina

Summary:

Responsible for the management of the radiation oncology services.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinates site development initiatives for expansion of Radiation Oncology Services.

  2. Provides operational management of the Radiation Oncology Joint Venture.

  3. Designs, implements, and facilitates onboarding and orientation plan for all new Radiation Therapists.

  4. Develops and manages coding quality control measures to ensure appropriate billing for Radiation Oncology services.

  5. Responsible for efficient staffing to meet patient needs and departmental needs. Responsible for the hiring process, orientation of new coworkers, and evaluation of the coworkers performance to ensure safe, quality patient care and to ensure Rex standards of performance are met.

  6. Evaluate patient and staff satisfaction and implement programs for maintenance and improvement. Address patient/family, physician, coworker concerns in a timely manner and follow up as needed.

  7. Provides direction for the delivery of cost effective, quality patient care or service based on established regulatory, professional, organizational standards. Develops, implements, maintains policies and procedures.

  8. Prepares and maintains accountability for departmental budget and utilization of resources. Identifies variances and measures taken to address the variance. Regularly reports to Director financial status of the department.

  9. Plans, coordinates and integrates services within the department and with other departments throughout the organization

  10. Supports corporate goals and seeks ways to meet or exceed goals.

  11. Leads and/or participates on teams to achieve targeted results. Responsible for performance improvement activities.

  12. Responsible for monitoring and compliance of all charging, billing, collection functions as appropriate in the department. Responsible for monitoring/auditing processes and regularly reporting the outcomes.

Education Requirements:

● Bachelor's degree (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing or Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of Radiation Therapy. PREFER experience and credentials with Radiation Therapy

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

● If Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing, requires NC RN license and BCLS.

If Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of Radiation therapy, requires ARRT and BCLS.

Professional Experience Requirements:

● Minimum of 5 years experience in Radiation Oncology.

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

● Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and technical procedures. Ability to document clinical information. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from patients, physicians, family members, and other staff. Mathematical Skills: Ability to concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive of technical instructions.
