Allied Universal Technology Services is hiring a Manager of Safety and Process. The Manager works to develop, implement, and monitor company safety programs, policies, and procedures. Prepares reports, monitors all safety incidents, takes corrective action, and makes recommendations to management for continuous improvement. The Manager of Safety and Process is responsible for driving compliance and executing all processes that impact field operations. Prepares reports, monitors, drives corrective action, and makes recommendations to the Vice President of Field Operations for continuous improvement of all processes that impact field operations. Travel up to 5- 10%

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the implementation of new policies and initiatives and advise on overall safety concerns

  • Assists the field teams in creating and maintaining health, safety, and environment management systems for project-specific requirements.

  • Conduct site inspections and interface with individual project managers and regional field personnel

  • Develop procedures to ensure local team enforcement of Federal, State, Local, Company, safety and environment regulations, policies and procedures, OSHA, Company, and project safety policies

  • Draft, review, and finalize company safety reports and update and maintain a variety of company safety records

  • Will work closely with the field organization to ensure each branch location understands and is in compliance with companywide HSE processes and standards

  • Ensure regulatory compliance in applying regulations and monitoring compliance plans with Federal and State OSHA and other regulatory compliance issues while developing strategies and monitoring the effective execution of safety engineering, safety awareness, incident investigation, and health compliance activities and equipment for safety and health compliance

  • Assure that proper auditing systems are in place to monitor compliance with company Safety and Health protocol and all regulatory requirements

  • Design and oversee Safety and Health Programs to comply with policy and safety regulations; assess the economics of safety program alternatives; and recommend preferred action to senior management. Influence field offices and management cooperation in the implementation of program development and delivery

QUALIFICATIONS (Must Have):

  • Must possess one of the following:

  • High School diploma with minimum of 5 years of health and safety or related management experience within the safety/ construction operations environment

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in safety, Emergency Management, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of operations safety experience

  • Possess or achieve within 12 months of hire the successful completion of theOSHA 510 – OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry course and receipt of the certification for the construction industry or the OSHA 501 course for the general industry

  • Knowledge of the principles, concepts, methods, and techniques of fleet and transportation operations management

  • Plan and implement fleet and equipment management transportation operations

  • Working knowledge of the OSHA regulatory agencies, regulations, and guidelines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Nice to Have):

  • OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer for the Construction Industry

  • OSHA 501 - Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30

  • Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification and/or foreign (non-US) certifications

  • Master’s degree in safety management, Safety Engineering, or a related field
