WSP USA Maintenance Technician in Raleigh, North Carolina

This Opportunity

WSP is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their team Program & Construction Management team in Raleigh, NC.

Your Impact

  • This position functions as a Maintenance Technician on a routine road maintenance crew.

  • Work will consist of a wide range of tasks involved in performing routine maintenance activities on NC 540 in Wake County.

  • Daily tasks include maintenance and repair of ditches, shoulders, fencing, slopes, and signs; debris removal and other duties as assigned.

  • Work will require exposure to various types of weather conditions and the ability to work on uneven surfaces and slopes.

  • This position is subject to emergency call back and must be able to workdays and nights during snow and ice removal operations and other adverse weather or extreme circumstances.

Who You Are

Minimum Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of professional experience

  • Experience using small hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, posthole diggers, hammer, chainsaw, screwdriver, torches, etc.

  • Occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 60 lbs.

  • Performing physical activities required of the testing procedures including squatting, bending, lifting, climbing and traversing difficult terrain.

  • Proficient at basic math computations.

  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • The ability to complete work assignments independently and in team environments.

  • Willingness to perform work after regular business hours, on weekends and sometimes on holidays when necessary.

  • Possession of a current Driver’s License is mandatory for essential duties.
