PeopleReady Journeyman Level Commercial Carpenter in Raleigh, North Carolina
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking Journeyman level Commercial Carpenters, both Finish/Trim Carpenters and Framering Carpenters. Duties could include: Insulating office buildings, Installing drywall or cabinets in commercial buildings, Installing wooden concrete forms for cement footings or pillars, and erecting, shoring, and securing caffolding for buildings as well has finish/trim work of all kinds, and general framing work including metal stud frame work. Projects include new construction and remodels or refurbishing. We are seeking Carpenters who have their own hand tools, including squares, levels, and chisels, as well as power tools, such as sanders, circular saws, compact drill, nail guns, etc. Carpenters fasten materials together with nails, screws, staples, and adhesives, and do a final check to ensure accuracy. You will need a tape measure on every project.
Note: The hourly rate for this position is $24 - $28 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
Working with metal and wood framing and roof truss components
Using hand or electric tools to fabricate, cut, and install framework
Reading and understanding blueprints and drawings
Helping place and secure wood during the building process
Being confident in framing, measuring, trim work, and finishing work
Qualifications:
Minimum three years of experience on commercial construction sites
Basic math skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the fly
In-depth knowledge of building codes and laws in your area
Strong scheduling and blueprint reading skills as well as knowledge of metal stud/wood framing, material
Have all of the tools of your trade on hand and be able to bring them to your jobsite
References that will verify your professional skills and experience
Reliable transportation to and from job site
Must have steel toed work boots and all PPE's
OSHA-10 Construction Certification preferred, not required
Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
