Job Description

As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of Red Hat's products and services. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining instrumentation solutions to collect and analyze data, identify performance bottlenecks, and monitor system health.

Key Responsibilities :

 Design and implement instrumentation strategies for Red Hat products and services, using a variety of techniques including tracing, logging, and metrics.

 Develop and maintain custom instrumentation tools and libraries.

 Analyze collected data to identify performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other issues.

 Collaborate with development teams to ensure that instrumentation is integrated into product code effectively.

 Contribute to the development and maintenance of monitoring and alerting systems.

 Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in instrumentation and monitoring.

Skills and Requirements

Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.

 Experience with Red Hat products and technologies, including RHEL, OpenShift, and Ansible.

 Knowledge of system performance metrics and analysis techniques.

 Experience with monitoring tools and technologies, such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.

 Understanding of cloud computing concepts and platforms.

 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

 Excellent communication and collaboration skills. null
