BAE Systems Supervisor Facilities Water/Wastewater Department in Radford, Virginia

Job Description

BAE Systems is currently recruiting for a Team Leader to join our Water and Wastewater Operations Team. The Team Leader will supervise operations of plant water treatment and wastewater treatment along with a steam generating power plant. You will monitor operations to ensure that we continuously meet State of Virginia Environmental Compliance requirements and BAE Systems production needs. Supervision will involve overseeing 7 to 11 hourly wage employees. Successful candidate will work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.

Areas of responsibility will include:

1) Main Filter Water Plant

2) 2 - Drinking Water Plants

3) Waste Acid Neutralization Facility

4) Sanitary Treatment Facility

5) Biological Wastewater Treatment Facility.

6) Powerhouse Operations on off-shifts and holidays.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Two years' experience with a license for Wastewater Treatment and Potable Water Treatment and must have a minimum of a Class 2 Water License as recognized by the State of Virginia Department of Health or a Class 2 Wastewater License by the Department of Environmental Quality.

Must be able to effectively supervise hourly employees in a Union environment.

Able to use SCADA Systems.

Able to use Windows Software.

Must be able to lift 40 pounds repeatedly.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Dual licenses for Water (Class 2 minimum) and Wastewater Treatment (Class 2 minimum) as recognized by the State of Virginia Department of Health and Department of Environmental Quality.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $71600 - $121700

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
