Job Description

Join our team as an Assembler, where you will be responsible for the frame assembly of foam structures used in shipping doors. This role involves packaging, cutting, bagging, and folding materials, as well as using hand and power tools to add and secure brackets to foam structures. You will work in teams of 2-4 people and be responsible for assembling 60 frames per day.

Responsibilities

• Assemble foam structures used in shipping doors.

• Package, cut, bag, and fold materials.

• Use hand and power tools to add and secure brackets to foam structures.

• Work in teams of 2-4 people.

• Assemble 60 frames per day.

Essential Skills

• Experience with assembly, mechanical assembly, and production.

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and following blueprints.

• Ability to use a tape measure accurately.

• 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience.

• 2+ years of production experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical assembly experience.

• Experience in a production environment.

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Our organization offers a union environment with competitive pay. Starting pay is $18.50/hour with an increase to $20.68/hour once hired on. Additional benefits include a $0.65 shift premium, first-day benefits upon hiring, quarterly bonuses, and matching 401(k) up to 4%. Employees receive annual raises, 10 vacation days, 11 holidays, and a shutdown period between Christmas and New Year's. We prioritize promoting from within and have a no-layoff policy.

Work Environment

The work environment is neat and clean, with temperatures that are comfortable year-round. The position is for the 1st shift, which operates from 6 am to 2:30 pm.
