State of Massachusetts Assistant Manager - Road Test Examiners (Administrator V) in Quincy, Massachusetts

Position Summary The purpose of this role is to ensure that the policies and regulations of the road test department are being followed and the issuance of driver licenses are issued according to policy and procedure. Duties and Responsibilities * Road Test Assistant Program Manager will assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures consistent with the performance goals and objectives of the Registry of Motor Vehicles. * Manage a staff of road test regional field supervisors responsible for the direct supervision of RMV driver’s license examiners in each RMV region. * Create business policies and procedures needed to manage the road test program. Identify policies and procedures that need to be edited or eliminated. * Create and maintain the standard road skills test for passenger vehicles and motorcycles and determine the criteria that needs to be met in order to pass a road test. * Create and maintain the approved standard road test skills policy and procedure manual to be used by RMV examiners. * Manage the electronic master road test schedule. Make changes/adjustments based on customer needs, staffing issues and weather situations. * Create and implement an audit process to review road skills test procedures, pass/fail statistics and examiner adherence to RMV policies/procedures to prevent fraudulent activity. * Analyze road test data monthly to identify changes that should be made in regard to staff deployment, the master schedule or employee training. Identify any customer service-related issues that should be addressed. * Create and maintain a training plan to train new road test examiners and supervisors. Substitutions: I. A certificate in a relevant or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience. II. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience. III. A Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required experience. IV.
