JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for collecting and processing patient samples and performing clinical laboratory analysis at all complexity levels for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. We are looking for a certified MLT that will work primarily in Central Processing and has the ability to float to other departments. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement Process / Patient Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED:
Associate Degree in MLT (unless waived by CLIA).
Completion of one-year internship in an accredited MLT program.

License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
ASCP (or equivalent) registered
