Amazon Physical Security Specialist, QRO DC Security in Queretaro, Mexico

We are looking for a Security Specialist to join our expanding tech center team. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, innovative, and professional. They have a passion for delighting customers, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The Security Specialist role encompasses oversight of contract employee deliverables and collaboration with Tech Center Managers in order to devise security strategies, achieve financial targets, and to improve the overall operational security within our facilities. They will report to the Cluster Security Manager responsible for all facilities in the area.
Key job responsibilities
Interact with security vendors involved in system repairs
Coordinate the activities of a professional contract guard force
Oversee individual security vendor deliverables, track service delivery and request corrective actions from vendors as needed
Foster working relationships to educate facility stakeholders on false alarm reductions
Extract metrics and observe improvements by looking at and analyzing data
Verify facility security programs are delivered to meet defined global security standards
Develop strategies for improving electronic surveillance and access controls
Draft reports and prepare presentations on the status of physical security operations
Collaborate with managers in writing and implementing security processes and procedures
Serve as a customer advocate by identifying security-related opportunities and crafting innovative solutions that maintain security standards
Be able to travel between local sites as needed, up to 50% of the workweek

Basic Qualifications
1+ year of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvement, and effect quality assurance
1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office tools
1+ of experience with Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems
Preferred Qualifications
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bilingual (Spanish and English)
1+ year working in an operations, physical security or equivalent environment
2+ years of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data
Participated in an Integrated Project Team or served as part of team to complete a general project
2+ years of experience compiling reports
1+ years of demonstrated leadership skills
1+ years of incident response & management experience
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office tools
