Job Description Summary
This position is for an intern within the Aviation Engineering Division's Production Technologies (PT) organization. In this role you will support engineering functions related to the production of rotating parts and compressor airfoils made by GE shops and external suppliers.
In this role, you will support engineers that work on the front lines of a new organization that is dedicated to improving the producibility, enhancing the Engineering-Supply chain relationship to improve the health of the supply chain and product to enable the business to fulfil our customers' expectations.
Examples of specific tasks you will be supporting: evaluation of nonconforming parts and producibility design changes.

Roles and Responsibilities
Begin to understand technical criteria controlling each feature on the hardware.
Execute design, analysis or evaluation of assigned projects using engineering principles.
Utilize in-depth knowledge of engineering & manufacturing. Help to the hardware owner on the evaluation of nonconformances.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor student in mechanics/aeronautical engineering, from seventh semester onwards.
Capable to do technical presentations, have phone call conversations and write technical documents in English
Good background on Mechanics of Materials, Manufacturing Processes of aeronautical components, CAD modeling and stress analysis.
Desired Characteristics
Familiar with commercial finite element analysis software.
Familiar with commercial CAD software.
Familiar with GD&T.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
